Your Academic planEach year students are required to take seven courses, including physical education. Ninth graders also take a health course and may take an introductory computer course. In making your selections, keep in mind your interests and abilities, the prerequisites for each course, and the graduation requirements. Think long range. What major do you hope to pursue in college? Which college would you like to attend? Many colleges expect three credits in language and science. We encourage you to challenge yourself by taking courses beyond the minimum graduation requirements. Reading this book carefully will help you to make wise choices. Consult teachers, department chairpersons, guidance personnel, or administrators if you need assistance.
