Service requirement
Fontbonne Academy implemented a service program in 1996 to give students an opportunity to
learn more about their faith, to put their faith into action by working for justice in our world, and to reflect
on their experiences. The Office of Mission & Ministry Office oversees the service program.
Students are required
to perform at least twenty-five hours of service each year begining in the 9th grade for a total of one
hundred hours. Hours earned beyond the annual twenty-five hour requirement will be carried
over to the following year. If a student has not completed the mandatory hours for that year, she will
receive a permanent incomplete on her report card and official transcript. The one hundred hours of
service must be completed by the end of her senior year in order for the student to receive her diploma
and to participate in graduation exercises.
