WellnessFontbonne Academy is proud to offer a unique opportunity for improved health and wellness to its students, faculty, and staff. The Ellen Sullivan Wellness Center, located in the lower campus building opened in May, 2000 and has been used by hundreds of participants who are looking to incorporate fitness into their daily lives. Along with junior and senior Physical Education classes, the Wellness Center is open to all students and members of the Learning Community. Students may use the Wellness Center as a support center during the day and are also welcome to workout after school from 2:00-3:30. The Learning Community is welcome to workout before school or after 3:30. The Wellness Center offers participants an opportunity to workout in a supervised, comfortable and safe atmosphere. Custom fitness programs can be designed as well as sport specific workouts for athletes in training. Supervised TrainingMrs. Keri McPhillips, a certified personal fitness trainer, nutritionist and health educator, monitors the Wellness Center daily from 1:15-3:30pm. She works with students, faculty and staff of all levels and abilities and is happy to customize a program to meet an individual's specific needs and goals. GuidelinesAll students must sign in upon arrival to the center. All participants must be changed into appropriate workout attire and sneakers. All bags and extra clothing are to be left in the hallway outside the center. Any student making up physical education classes are asked to complete a pre-designed program and list the program number next to their name on the sign in sheet.
